Description
Table top Carpentry Hammering Activity. The children are given a presentation on how to hold and use the hammer. Once the presentation has been given the children can then hammer the short, fat head nails into a pre-drilled block of wood. The block of wood has approximately 36 holes so a lot of hammering! The activity comes with the table top work tray, which measures approximately 20cm deep x 30cm wide and has a front and back lip to prevent slipping on the table and to contain the activity, a pair of protective goggles, an appropriately sized hammer, 2 blocks of pre-drilled wood (1 spare), a tin of nails plus spare nails. This activity is one of 4 and is ideally used to introduce a skill prior to using the Carpentry bench.
